In July 2017, Ben was selected as the third annual artist-in-residence for Brisbane Airport, following the highly regarded Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and painter, Robert Brownhall.

As the first major project for Ben outside of the fan environment, he is delighted to be able to be able to bring together two major passions, aviation and building with LEGO bricks.

Over the year Ben will be installing a number of significant artworks and models made from LEGO bricks into Brisbane Airport spaces, with a few special surprises.

Core to the program will be Ben speaking with travellers on their stories, with the opportunity to have them represented in art made from LEGO bricks.

Keep an eye out on this page for a growing gallery of installations and stories from BricksBNE, opportunities to attend events, and to even contribute your own experiences to the program.
